1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Acorn Sacco mobile application ("the App"), operated by Linkcore Technologies Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") on behalf of Acorn Sacco. By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, are a registered member of Acorn Sacco, and accept these Terms in full.

2. Description of the App

The App provides Acorn Sacco members with a secure mobile interface to access their financial account information, including:

• Account balances and transaction history
• Loan balances, repayment schedules, and application status
• Push notifications for account activity and SACCO announcements
• AI-assisted financial queries and guidance
• Document access and sharing

The App is a read-access companion to the core SACCO system. Financial transactions (loan applications, payments, withdrawals) are processed through the SACCO's official channels and are subject to separate SACCO bylaws and policies.

3. Account Access and Security

Access to the App requires your Acorn Sacco member credentials (member number and OTP). You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials confidential and not sharing them with any third party.
• Notifying Acorn Sacco immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• Ensuring your device is secured with a PIN, password, or biometric lock.
• Logging out of the App when using shared or public devices.

We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these security obligations.

4. Permitted Use

You may use the App solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the App in any way that violates applicable Kenyan laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other members' accounts or the App's backend systems.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App or its security features.
• Use the App to transmit any malware, spam, or harmful content.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity.

5. Accuracy of Information

The financial data displayed in the App is sourced directly from Acorn Sacco's core system. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all information is error-free or current at all times. Account balances and transactions are subject to the official records maintained by Acorn Sacco.

In the event of any discrepancy between data shown in the App and official SACCO records, the official SACCO records shall prevail. Please contact your SACCO to report any discrepancies.

6. AI Features

The App may include AI-assisted features that provide financial guidance or answer queries about your account. These features are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial, legal, or investment advice. Always consult a qualified financial advisor before making significant financial decisions.

7. Push Notifications

By using the App, you consent to receiving push notifications related to your SACCO account, including loan approvals, payment reminders, and general announcements. You may opt out of notifications at any time through your device's notification settings. Opting out may limit certain App functionality.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, content, and branding, is the property of Linkcore Technologies Ltd and Acorn Sacco. All rights are reserved. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Linkcore Technologies Ltd and Acorn Sacco shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or unauthorized access due to device theft or compromise.
• Service interruptions caused by network outages, maintenance, or force majeure events.
• Decisions made based on information displayed in the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid (if any) for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Service Availability

We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times. We reserve the right to suspend, withdraw, or modify the App without notice for maintenance, upgrades, or operational reasons. We will not be liable if the App is unavailable for any period.

11. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Google Firebase (push notifications) and Google AI (AI features). Your use of these services within the App is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party providers.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, if you breach these Terms or if your Acorn Sacco membership is suspended or terminated. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
